単純に、蓄えられたゼンマイの残量が可視化されるという利便性や、手巻き腕時計で巻き上げ時に巻きすぎてゼンマイを切ってしまうことを回避出来るといったメリットがあります。メーターの形状は、扇型のタイプが一般的です。
